I have just recently uninstalled and reinstalled the Gmail app and suddenly, the Theme option in the Settings pane for me to change the Gmail app display to dark mode is no longer there! What I did was I tinkered around in my iPhone's Dark mode settings (disable and re-enable dark mode) and it fixed the issue. The Theme option was back on. I need to change my Gmail theme settings to dark mode on iOS 13.
